Tripoli – Halloween Style

In the last 2 weeks, all of my time has been sucked up with house guests, football games, dealing with a car that left me stranded – twice, driving Alexa hither and yon, replacing said car, scheduling trips to IWU for Alexa’s concerts, dealing with some bad news, and missing Alexa. I haven’t even made any art since the last blog post two weeks ago.

But, I had to do this week’s Diva Challenge. Laura challenges us to do a monotangle of Tripoli. Tripoli is another tangle that I didn’t like at first, but it grew on me so much that I now teach a whole class on it called a Trip to Tripoli.

Maybe I’ve been spending too much time trying to come up with a class for Halloween, but when I played with Tripoli this morning, all I could see was candy corn! Enjoy.

  1. I can’t imagine a whole class on this pattern, it’s not one of my favourites. I think I want it to be tidier thanI can make it, so I’m never satisfied with it. This looks fun, though and it’s amazing, as I’ve no doubt said before, what a bit of colour can do.

  2. Hi Cris, I really appreciated your blog post today. (as always!) I was hoping you could share some inspiration for Tripoli. I live near a town by that name (although they mess with the pronunciation!) and would love to teach a class on this tangle, but i, too, can’t get into it. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions? Thanks. Your tangled friend, Barb
